With a new season, come some new changes.
Yes summer is right around the corner, but before you decide how you want to look in a bathing suit, there are other issues that need to be addressed.
As we age, it is so important to stay on top of YOU.
Good health goes deeper than what the scale can measure; and as busy women we take care of everyone else, as our own needs go unattended.
Now is a great time to take stock of how you are feeling in general.
Have there been any changes in the last year in your energy levels, bowel movements, sleep patterns, strength, blood pressure, digestion, periods, etc.?
Sometimes there are underlying issues that could be the cause of your overeating or not eating, lack of energy, digestive issues, sensitivity to certain foods, and even your inability to drop excess weight.
So over the next few weeks I encourage you to make sure you are up-to-date on all those doctors’ appointments you have been meaning to get to.
Here’s a list of suggestions:
Yearly physical (yes, yearly)
Full blood panel
If you are feeling unusually tired, forgetful, anxious, distracted:
Remember, you are the gatekeeper of your own body. And yes, sometimes taking time out from a busy schedule can be a drag.
However early detection and staying on top of issues that can easily be resolved, are the best way to ensure a long and healthy life.
Beauty is only skin deep, but good health is to the bone.
