It’s 2011. What kind of person do you want to be?

Is this going to be the year? Your year? The This-Is-It Year? Well it can and it should be.

Time marches on for all of us and it is the quality of that time that matters. Some people have a gift for spinning gold out of minutes, while others can live a lifetime with nothing to show for it.  Are you asking yourself where has it gone? What have I done? Or thinking, I want a do-over!

What does this have to do with weight loss? Everything! The way you feel about yourself is the way you put yourself out into the world. If you are hiding behind baggy clothes, then you are hiding from life. If you are sitting out on physical activities because it is uncomfortable for you to move, then you are sitting out on life.  If you have given up on ever losing weight or living a healthy lifestyle, then you have given up on life— the life that you were meant to live.  More importantly, you have given up on you.

That is unacceptable. You are worth it. Life is worth living, not dreaming about. Everyone deserves to be happy. So this can be your year. Start today and no later than tomorrow. It is never too soon to get your life back on track. Don’t believe for one second that the life you want cannot be yours. It can. Start with a few easy steps. Call in reinforcements. Draw a line in the sand.

Don’t just think about it. Write it down. Step by step. Day by day. One day feeds into the next, as surely as one year feeds into a lifetime.  How are you going to get to where you want to be??

Now is the time to put pen to paper and start creating a picture of what you can be. When it comes to our own lives, we are the only artists who can visualize the final product and the only person who can get the job done.

So do it! Do it now! Map out a plan and go the distance. I know you have it in you.

I wish you courage and I would love to hear about the journey.

Happy New Year and Happy New You!
