I have attempted a few times to write a post for all of you this week, but the words would not come. The tragedy in Newtown last week has rendered me speechless. As a parent I cannot fathom a deeper pain than the loss of a child. So many families destroyed, so many hearts broken.
If we can take anything away from this horrible tragedy, it is how fleeting and precious life can be. Love every moment that you have in this world; live with purpose and love with abandon.
Life will go on, and we may never know the message in its meaning, but we will trust that the world is predominately good; and we will prevail.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
