It’s almost the end of January and if you vowed to lose weight, eat healthier, or get in better shape you may be feeling a little discouraged right now.
Perhaps you’ve already given up. According to experts, 35% of New Year’s Resolutions are broken before the end of January.
PLEASE don’t give up.
Forget what the scale says, or how your clothes fit, or whether you see any muscles.
It just hasn’t clicked yet.
What do I mean by “clicked?”
I mean you haven’t made it a habit yet.
Forget what you hear about “21 days to form a habit.” For some it’s less, and for others it’s more.
A lot more.
How do you know when you’ve clicked?
It doesn’t feel so cumbersome. It doesn’t take as much thought, or preparation or mental coaxing.
There is a feeling of seamlessness between you and your new lifestyle.
You will get there.
Eventually the clouds start to lift, your mood expands and you will feel stronger, healthier and lighter.
You are not alone!
I have been going steady for 22 days and it hasn’t clicked for me yet either.
But every day I feel just a little more in control.
I am finding my center again, feeling grounded and more focused.
The sluggishness is starting to fall away, and in its place is a renewed energy.
You will feel this too. I promise.
Keep going through the motions, keep pushing through.
Changes are happening even if you can’t see them yet.
Wait for it…trust it.
If you have come this far, you are very close to turning that corner.
