1. Is this a diet?
No, a detox is not a diet. It is meant to cleanse the body’s internal environment, and to make the body more efficient.
2. What are the benefits of a detox?
A detox is a great way to break you of bad food habits and cravings, as well as jumpstart stalled weight loss. This is the exact program I use with my clients to get the scale moving again.
3. Is this a juice fast?
No, this is an organic, whole foods plan. If you choose to juice your fruits and veggies, that is up to you.
4. Are there special foods I must eat?
The basis of my detox is for you to eat primarily fruits and veggies and a special broth. You have the option to choose whichever foods appeal to you.
5. Do I need to buy additional products or supplements?
No. I will make some suggestions for you to make the detox easier, but you are not obligated to buy anything other than the foods you will be eating.
6. I am traveling; can I do this on the road?
I do not recommend you detox during a trip or vacation. It is best to be in your natural surroundings, with access to healthy foods.
7. Do I have to cook special recipes?
No. I will supply recipe ideas throughout the detox week; you can choose to make it as simple or complicated as you like. You will however, be asked to prepare a special detox broth for the week.
8. Can you explain a little about the actual detox and how it will work?
The detox itself is exactly 7 days, (although some people may choose to go longer).
The first week is a Pre-Detox; this means you will need to slowly wean off things like caffeine, alcohol, sugar, etc. I will talk you through this on our first conference call, as well as tell you what to have on hand before we begin the first day of detox, and answer all questions. Also, you will receive a link to the DIY FLAT BELLY DETOX Manual with instructions, worksheets and helpful tips.
The 2nd week is the actual detox (7 days). During this week you will follow a specific diet plan consisting of mainly organic fruits and veggies. I will be sending you daily emails for inspiration, along with new recipes.
The final call will be about Post-Detox. We will discuss the best way to end a detox, some take away tips, some final insights, and lots of Q&A.
8. Can anyone do the Detox?
Detoxes are not recommended for children, those who are pregnant, or who suffer from blood sugar imbalances (diabetes, hypoglycemia, etc.).
9. I have a sister in North Carolina who would like to participate. Can she?
Absolutely! The more the merrier. A detox is easier and more fun when you do it as a group.
10. What if I have questions as I am detoxing?
No problem. You have unlimited access to me and the group to answer any questions and help you through.
