How Are You Doing?

How are you doing? Have you stayed on track with your resolutions to get fit, be healthy and lose weight? If you are still going strong; good for you! If you abandoned ship a long time ago, you are not alone. In fact, most people will break their resolve by February.

So instead of beating yourself up and feeling like you have failed again, know that resolutions are really journeys. There will always be the one step forward, two steps back dance. Rarely do I see a straight line to success. That is what being human is all about. We were not meant to be perfect.

If you can allow yourself the occasional misstep without falling completely over, you will be fine. Every day is a new opportunity to start again. No one day is better than another. The important thing is to start; however and whenever that is.

Remember, everything great happens out of the comfort zone.  You may feel afraid of starting something new, of being challenged, of failing again. These feelings are not exclusive to you. We have all been there, and we will continue to visit that place whenever we summon the courage to seek massive change.

Just as we have feelings of fear and uncertainty, we also know what it feels like to succeed. Bring the skills you used to excel in the past, into your present day challenge. Each of us has been blessed with various gifts and talents; rarely do we use them to their full potential. Now would be a good time to take inventory of what you are made of.

The past is gone, and the future will be what you make of it. Right now is where the power lies. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again. I am here for you.
