I believe all things happen for a reason and we find what we need when we are ready.
So welcome to a diet-free zone for those who are tired of battling with food, of losing the same 20 -30 pounds, of trying again and again with no results.
I am a lot like you.
For years I fought the good fight with sustenance, and starved myself out of a joy-filled life because I could not put food in its proper place.
I obsessed about food 24/7.
All of my thoughts and my energy revolved around eating, or not eating; good foods, bad foods, portion sizes, calories… until I was drained and confused, and seeing no results from my efforts.
I battled with restrictive eating for as long as I can remember, until I realized that the “perfect weight” was as elusive as the perfect snack.
Everything changed the day I decided to stop living my diet, and start living my life.
Since then I have maintained my perfect weight, not counted a single calorie, or deprived myself of the foods I love.
I ditched dieting for good. And I couldn’t be happier.
By embracing a healthier lifestyle, and discovering the joy of food again (on my terms), I have come full circle, right back to the table and the kitchen where it all began.
My battle is finally over, but perhaps yours still rages on. And that is why I do what I do. Why I feel compelled to help others release the constraints of dieting so they can live a much happier existence.
I know that it is possible to learn how to eat, and enjoy what you eat, and lose weight at the same time.
And I believe every person should look in the mirror and like what they see.
So this is a sacred space for those who lived as I did; who blame themselves for a weakness they do not have, and for a body that does not please them, and the instinct to know when enough is enough.
As I mentioned, we find what we need when we are ready. You are here, and so am I; there is a reason.
