This is the quickest way to make tasty broccoli that you can serve as a side dish or just keep in the refrigerator to have on hand to use in a frittata or pasta dish.
Quick Spicy Garlic Broccoli
1 large head of Broccoli cut into florets
1 TBL. Extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves of garlic sliced
¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Kosher salt to taste
In a large bowl add olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes.
Boil 2-3 inches of water in pot that can fit a double boiler steamer basket, add ½ tsp. of salt. Add broccoli to the steamer basket and cover. Steam until broccoli is tender, but still bright green. Toss hot broccoli into the oil/garlic/pepper mixture and toss to coat with tongs. Add kosher salt to taste.
